Bird of the Day: northern cardinal, one of the usual suspects

Rabbit Rabbit

Where: around the complex

When: 6:00 pm

Bird Species: gray catbird, American robin, northern cardinal, house sparrow, mourning dove, European starling

Things I Thought About:

  • Neither my new glasses nor my new contact lenses have arrived yet. I got the exam Friday a week ago. I am out of new contact lenses.
  • This head cold has descended and settled in as a great hacking cough, which only comes into play when I talk or laugh or breathe too hard. I was given to understand when I quit smoking eleven years ago I would never get sick again, and yet, and yet.
  • The second book in the Thursday Murder Club book series is better than the first. This is more common than one might think in a book series (and a million times more common than it is in movies.)
  • I am glad I remembered how to read this year.
  • It is very crazy that it is June already.

BOTD: northern cardinal. I took a quick turn around the building this evening, and saw the regulars, but he was the only one I wanted to take a picture off. I love a splash of color in a bird.
