Bird of the Day: gray catbird

Where: the neighborhood

When: 7:40 am

Bird Species: house sparrow, gray catbird, European starling, northern cardinal, mourning dove, Canada goose (flyover)

Things I Thought About:

  • I do not remember what I was thinking about this morning, and I didn't make any text notes. If I had to guess, I was thinking that I needed to take a photo quickly because there was a work social event after hours and I wouldn't have enough light to take a photo after work.
  • Also there were geese flying over, quite a few of them, which confused me. I remember not knowing where they might have been coming from.
  • These are the things I am thinking right now, as I make today's entry:
  • I had drinks at the work happy hour, and then another drink when I got home, and accidentally became drunk by 7:30.
  • I stopped for some fried calamari on the way home, which helped less than one might think. Now I wish I had not had fried food on top of three alcohols.
  • I wish there was some bread around here.
  • I do not wish to wash my make up off. I want to find a decent photo from this morning and go to bed.
  • This would be a disaster.
  • Make me wash my face and brush my teeth and set an alarm and go to bed.

BOTD: Gray catbird. I suspect I thought that combination of sign and bird was vaguely amusing this morning.
